Raising your business profile with communities
There are 79 councils in Victoria, and each council puts on unique events for their community each year. As well as providing community grants for non-council events, councils seek support from businesses to run their own community events.
Partnering councils in these events provides businesses with the opportunity to engage directly with consumers in their own communities.
Councils are often looking for partner organisations to commercially support local events and community festivals. To learn about more opportunities to become a partner, contact your local council.
Raising your business profile with councils
Councils are a significant purchaser of goods and services, and businesses are often seeking opportunities to profile themselves to the local government sector, and directly with council purchasing decision-makers.
Businesses may apply through MAV Procurement public tender processes to become a preferred supplier to Victorian councils.
The Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) hosts many events and conferences for local government councillors, senior managers and staff each year. They offer a range of sponsor and exhibitor opportunities to put you and your organisation in front of the most suitable segment of Victorian local government.
